The North Shore and District Volunteer Fire Department If you would like to make a donation to the Truck Fund, please send it to Don Tower, RR4 Baddeck NS B0E 1B0. For info please call Andy Watt(929-2243)

 

The North Shore & District Volunteer Fire Department is initiating  another blood donation drive in early April. If there is enough interest, arrangements will be made to have a bus take everyone to Sydney. Every donation you make can save the lives of three people in need and change the lives of their family and friends. If interested please call Nancy at 929-2745.

 

Women’s Networking  This is a new initiative and a great opportunity for the women of St Ann’s Bay to get together and share ideas. We plan to meet for one hour on the first Tuesday of each month. The first meeting is scheduled for: 9:00 am on March 2nd  at the St Ann’s Bay Community Health Centre. Contact Lisa Finney - 929-2889 for more info.

 

Faye Chipchase: I will be offering reflexology, Therapeutic Touch and Reiki at the Health Centre Tues and Fridays, 10am - 3pm. Appointments may be booked by calling me at 929-2711 or emailing fchipchase@hotmail.com
I am instructing Yoga at the Fire Hall Fridays at noon. The class will run 12:00 - 1:00 with a $5.00 drop-in fee or $17.00 for a month prepaid. I will be offering Yoga Monday and Thursday at the North River Community Centre while Carol Kennedy is away for the month of March.
 I will be doing 15 min. mini Reflexology, complimentary for the seniors lunch on Wednesdays.

The 2010  World Day of Prayer service will be held at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, North River Bridge March 5th at 7pm. This ecumenical service has been prepared by the women of Cameroon. Dr Bernard Farenkia will be present to tell us about his homeland, Cameroon. Everyone welcome. Refreshments and fellowship to follow.
